The Black Mountains The black mountains of the north loom over Menes and Thebes. Giant and snow capped, they are known for their perilous dangers, and only the bravest seem to venture along the shady roads that lead through the trees. Often at night, during the winter when all is barren, you can see dim little lights floating around in the trees. subs: Silent Road , Enchanting Mist

The Black Forest Although the leaves are green, the forest has a black hue to it. No sunshine shines through to warm the ground, which makes the forest floor look dead, but the leaves on the trees are just as green as ever, the translucent green that filters through gives off the effect of sunlight without the rays shining through the trees. Spirit Falls A large cascade of water flows steadily and quietly into four pools of the cleanest, clearest water you will ever find in the Black Mountains. Wizards are said to have enchanted the water to be a portal to the spirit world, though very few come to visit the falls, it still talked about among healers to have the most powerful healing powers of any remedy in the land. Ériu Port Èriu, the city by the sea, a pearl! Known for passing into the claws of pirates for years, it isn’t a surprise to the owls that live there when a new pirate lord takes over as mayor. Èriu sits just to the north of Aoife, the second largest port in the Southern hemisphere. Other than being passed between the claws of pirates, the only thing that makes it desirable is the drink! Aoife The second largest port in the south, it isn’t as large as Èriu but just as important. Aoife is the capital of the south and known throughout the owl kingdom as the neutral zone. They are known for their shrewd business, and to-the-point residence who don’t take being cheated lightly. The crime rate in the city rates are the highest in comparison with Menes. Aoife even has a sign five miles out of town that reads: “Aoife, Five Miles: Turn back now, or risk losing everything.” Sub-boards: Ailill Inn, The Market, Uptown Aoife, Downtown Aoife |

Étaín Sea Water, water everywhere and not a drop to drink! The vast open sea is a pirate’s first love, and were it to ever dry up the heart of every sailor would dry up with it. No one knows the strange intoxication the sea seems to hold over the heart, they just know that they can’t live without it. There are three main islands off the coast of Ériu and Aoife. Thebes The entire city is made up of white crumbling stone, and various types of trees. The stone that remains standing are something of old buildings. What is left of these buildings are used as food storage, black smith dens, and the best reserved parts are used to house the wealthiest of burrowing owls, or those that just wish to squander their wealth. The Lake The Lake is a nice place to go when the sun is shining and the air is clear. You can fish here, as long as you stay on your side of the lake! Being an item of many battles, the lake of Thebes does not get its name lightly. For years the owls of Menes and the owls of Thebes have fought for full control over the lake. It wasn’t till the blood of many owls on both sides grew to be too much that they compromised to splitting the lake, and giving its name to Thebes. Forest of Hills The forest stands to the right of Thebes. It is a nice place for a small gathering, the open hills filled with sunshine in the afternoon, and in the morning they are covered in mist, but there are some parts of the forest that give you a funny feeling, wizards often go into these parts, and some say that the wizards have put spells over the area to keep nosy owls out of their business! Menes Surrounded by sand, Menes is the desert territory to the west of Thebes. When the sun sets, it gives the city a sort of red glow. What defines the city most, though, are the three pyramids that make up most of its being. Also, with being right off the lake, there are many trees, grasses, and small plants that grow all around the city where the desert sand and heat doesn’t touch. Menes is also home to its king, a King of thieves, as he has come to be called. With that, the city is chaotic and noisy, filled with rouges, thieves, and treasure hunters. Amun Desert Bright waves of reddish-orange sands blanket the land outside of Menes, it is a very try, very sandy place to try and travel, and most die within a week from not being able to recover from heat stroke. But the very small inhabitants of the desert are generally burrowers, who move from one place to another. You would be extremely lucky to come across one of these loner clans in the sea of sand. subs: Sea of Sand , Island of the Ra

Ancient Tombs Lost to the ages, these tombs are very, very old, and there are a great many. Some have been broken into, either successfully or unsuccessfully. It is easy to get lost in them, and since the space is so tight below the sand, one can die in the catacombs if they do not have the proper guide. The tombs are said to be protected with the magic of magicians, better be sure you bring one along if you’re looking to raid a sacred place. subs: Catacombs,
